Trust is a sum of hundreds of everyday experiences that affect our ability to connect with other. Little things. Things like keeping promises, showing up on time, not criticizing when angry and refraining from comical mother-in-law imitations at the neighborhood cocktailparty. But they are not insignificant, because they affect hte ability of you and your spouse to become intimate and operate as soul mates.
You don´t get a degree because you intended to go to school. Or a paycheck because you thought about showing up for work. Intentions don´t count. People get tired of hearing "I should´ve," "I would´ve," "I Could´ve" enough already! The Should´ves, Would´ves and could´ves of broken promises and commitments are not impressive.
